Here’s the thing: people don’t’ think ‘9 to 5’ anymore. Thus, if you are not available to them they will move on and your business will suffer – it’s as simple as that. After hours, you need to divert enquiries and manage them as quickly as possible… potential customers are looking for a response; you are looking to increase your customer-base. It’s simple math!

Open between Lunch some days and Dinner others? That’s a fact of life for restaurants, but ‘closed’ doesn’t mean you don’t take bookings! Your response to enquiries really matters, and it should never be “We are open between… etc. … call back then.” Instead, ask them to leave a message – AND RESPOND within a reasonable time (not your reasonable time; theirs!).
